The Cannes Festival, until 2002 called the International Film Festival and known in English as the Cannes Film Festival, is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world. The invitation-only festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.

1st Hainan International Film Festival, which will be held from December 9th to 16th, 2018 hosted by the People’s Government of Hainan Province will be held in Sanya, Hainan Province, China. The festival comprises of Opening Ceremony, Film Screenings, Forums, Master Class, Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony.
As the largest free trade zone and international tourism island in China, Hainan will welcome the film artists from all over the world with an attitude of openness.
